Definitely enhances your cardio workout and technique but I found the junction between the mouthpiece and snorkel leaked until I added some duct tape. Also note this does not have a blow out valve like the $35 snorkel. You might be better off with the more expensive snorkel if you will get water into the snorkel. FINIS should note this limitation on the product description.

I think the frontmounted snorkel is a great training device for any level of swimmer. From our beginners at swim camp using it to work on drills to our national level swimmers on our team doing race pace sets, I think it really achieves what it is meant to do; create good body position and takes some pressure off having to fit the breath in.

We love to have our young athletes use this snorkel. Their stoke improves drastically when they swim with their head down and this snorkel helps them do that.

Due to neck issues (at 70 years young) my physio recommended that I use a snorkel to swim. I tried a few snorkels with the valve and they all leaked. I purchased this glide snorkel last year and it is excellent and enables me to swim easily with any strain on my neck and it does not leak.
