The Competitor Monofin is made up of a durable rubber foot pocket and a hand-tapered, fiberglass blade. The tapered blade provides maximum speeds in the water, up to 3.3 meters/second, and creates a whip-like action at the end of each kick. The tension in the large fiberglass blade creates a compounded resistance for maximum propulsion. Ideal for free divers, fin swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.

Amazing and powerful Monofin!

After getting used to the finis wave monofin, I got the competitor. This fin makes you go! After using it for a year, the finis wave made me feel like I was going nowhere, so I gave it away. I've used the competitor in both pools and open water. Everyone wants to try it out and see how far and fast they can go. I bought the fin to swim like a mermaid (lots of fin) but turned out falling in love with the sport of freediving and hope to start competing.
