Instructions for downloading music to your smartwatch are provided by your smartwatch brand or music provider. Please check their website or contact their customer service for specific questions. We have provided some links to instructions for popular smartwatch brands in the device compatibility chart on FINISswim.com
Your smartwatch must be within 5cm of the cord in order for the Bluetooth® connection to pass through the water. It’s best if your smartwatch is worn under your cap, or attached to your goggles with the watch clip.
Yes. Download your preferred music or podcast app onto your smartwatch. The app must offer “offline listening” or the ability to download files. This is the same process you’d go through to listen to music while in Airplane Mode.
Yes, to pause your music simply press the multi-use button once. When you are ready for your Amnis Stream to play again press the multi-use button again and it will resume.
Make sure your Amnis Stream is completely dry before charging. Insert the USB Charger, then remove the Goggle Clip from the Left Headphone (the one without the buttons) and slide it into the charger (logo side down). The light will be red when charging and green when fully charged.
Amnis Stream can last up to 5 hours of use, depending on volume level.
Turn down the volume on your watch or your Amnis Stream to increase your battery life.
To use the watch clip simply take the straps off of your watch and slide the watch clip into place. After the watch clip is in place attach it to your Amnis Stream and goggle strap. This will create the most secure placement of your watch.
See the compatibility chart on the Amnis Stream product page at www.FINISswim.com/Amnis-Stream
Yes. Amnis Stream is compatible with any smartwatch with offline audio capabilities.
No, you just need a watch with offline audio capabilities.
Yes, you will be able to receive calls if you have cellular capabilities on your smartwatch. However, the device does not have a microphone, so the caller may not be able to hear you.
Make sure your smartwatch is within close proximity to your Amnis Stream or check your smartwatch’s bluetooth settings.
Check the volume on your smartwatch (put it at the max) and then you can adjust the volume on your Amnis Stream as you are swimming.
First check to see if they’re leaking without use of your Amnis Stream. If the leaking is because of your Amnis Stream you may want to tighten your goggles to prevent leaks and add security for your Amnis Stream.

TRIATHLON AND OPEN WATER
Yes, go for it. We will show you your swim time and stroke rate.
You can see your swim time and stroke rate in the Smart Goggles today. We will be looking to add additional features in the future such as location, direction, and more.
The best modes for triathlon and open water swimming are ‘I swim for time’ and ‘I swim stroke sets’
When ‘I swim for time’ is selected the Smart Goggles will display a running clock. The running clock is important for understanding pace. If the user understands their average pace, distance can be estimated by time / average 100 pace.
When “I swim for sets’ is selected the Smart Goggle will display a running clock and stroke rate. Maintaining an even stroke rate is relevant to maintaining a similar pace, this should be considered in training and racing.
While the Smart Goggle will not track distance in open water if you know your average 100 pace, you can calculate an approximate distance by dividing your total swim time by your average 100 time in order to calculate an approximate distance.
SMART COACH
There could be several reasons why the display is a bit off. First, try adjusting your view from the Ciye™ app.
- Pair your goggles to the Ciye™ app.
- Wear your goggles as if you were going swimming (don’t just hold them up to your eyes).
- In the Ciye™ app, go to the Goggles tab, select “Adjust Goggles Screen.” Use the arrows to adjust the position of the text in the display. If you are still having trouble please try a different nose bridge (included in the Goggles box) and repeat the above steps.
Yes, connect your Smart Goggles to the Ciye™ app and from the Goggles tab, select “Customize Goggles Screen.” From there you can select your desired display type from the drop down menu.

Snap the Smart Coach into the left lens of the Smart Goggle until you hear TWO “CLICKS”. One “click” to position and one “click” to secure.
GENERAL
The app displays the distance in the units of the pool. Make sure to set up the correct units for your pool.
Please always rinse your goggles with fresh water after a swim. If you do get residue on your Smart Coach, you can remove it with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Be careful not to touch the lens.
The Smart Goggles will turn off automatically ten minutes after pressing the button to end the swim or after ten minutes of inactivity.
You can check the battery life by navigating to the Goggles tab in the Ciye™ app. Additionally, when you connect the charging cable you will notice an orange and yellow light appear. The orange light indicates that the goggles are charging while the yellow light indicates that they are connected via Bluetooth®. When the battery is fully charged the orange light will turn off. The flashing yellow light will stay on as long as the charging cable is connected.
“See”, as in “See Your Swim”
Yes, go for it. We will show you your swim time.

We use a standard calculator incorporating swim time, age, weight and gender
We use your gender, weight, and age to calculate calories and we use your gender and age for leaderboards and competitions.
The Smart Coach provides you real time feedback while you swim. For example, you can try a new technique and see the impact on your time.
The battery should last 4-6 hours depending on your use. We recommend you charge them after every swim.
If for some reason your Smart Coach becomes unresponsive it may be necessary to reset it. The reset is activated by using the magnet on the end of the charging cable.
- Place the magnetic end of the charge cable under the LEDs on the Smart Coach until a solid orange light appears.
- Hold the cable there until all the LEDs come on (about 6 seconds).
- The Smart Coach is now reset and fully functional.

MISSING TURNS, STOPS & OTHER ERRORS
We validate a stop at 3.5 to 4 seconds of no swimming motion. This is to ensure that you have fully stopped and did not just do a slower turn.
Our apologies for missing one of your turns. We strive for the highest accuracy and we continue to improve our ability to detect the details of your swim. If it happens regularly, please email us at support@FINISinc.com.

Our apologies for missing one of your turns. When you reach the end of the pool (or lake or ocean), we look to see if you turned around or stopped. Sometimes on slower turns, we calculate that you actually stopped. If it happens regularly, please email us at support@FINISinc.com.
The goggles will pick up most drills for kicking and sculling. We need to see motion in order to record your activity, so sometimes we will not be able to see slow motion activity. If it happens regularly, please email us at support@FINISinc.com.
Tempo Trainer Pro
Mode 1 | Stroke Mode – Dictates how many strokes per lap. Single beep between 0.20-99.99 seconds. How to use it: Set at .65 to start. Do a stroke cycle every time you hear it beep.
Mode 2 | Lap Pacing How to use it: Set at 18 seconds. At the end of your 25 yard lap you should hear a beep. Swim faster or slower to stay on pace per 25.
Mode 3 | Set in Terms of Strokes Per Minute. How to use it: Set to 80 strokes a minute to start. If it is too slow, increase the strokes per minut
Yes, you can change the battery in the new Tempo Trainer Pro. It requires a CR1620 3V battery as a replacement. Simply take a small coin and unscrew the back, remove the old battery and place the new battery inside.
Most definitely! The Tempo Trainer Pro comes with a clip on the back that can be used for sports such as running, biking, golf, or even hiking.
Many athletes typically sync Mode 1 or 2 to a pace clock or watch to help get live pacing feedback during a workout. For example, if the Tempo Trainer Pro is set to 00:14 in Mode 2 (14 seconds), you can press and release button [A] at any point. Doing so will cause the device to give a triple beep, and the 14-second interval will be reset and started again from the time you pressed button [A].
Agility Paddles
Measure the circumference at the base of your fingers to find where you fit in the size chart.
Not necessarily. If your hand fits comfortably in the well of the paddle while your fingertips reach beyond the edge of the paddle you have the correct size paddle.
Freestyler Paddles
Junior size Freestyler paddles are appropriate for smaller women, most teens and younger children. It measures 8.5″ from tip to end of fin. The senior size measures 11″ from tip to end of fin and is appropriate for larger teens and most men.
The Freestyle Snorkel may be perfect for you! This snorkel is designed to reinforce head alignment. If your head is out of alignment, the extreme curve of the snorkel will dip below the water level to provide you with immediate feedback.
The Freestyle Snorkel is not compatible with the Dry Top.
Forearm Fulcrums
The Junior size Forearm Fulcrum is ideal for younger swimmers, teens and petite women. They measure just shy of 11″ from end to end. The senior measures about 13.5″ from end to end and is ideal for adults and taller teens.
Instinct Sculling Paddles
Measure the circumference at the base of your fingers to find where you fit in the size chart.
Not necessarily. If your hand fits comfortably in the well of the paddle while your fingertips reach beyond the edge of the paddle you have the correct size paddle.
Backstroke Start Wedge
Before submerging the Backstroke Start wedge in the pool, please ensure the grip tape shows no signs of peeling. If you notice the edges of the grip tape starting to peel, we recommend using a heat gun or blow dryer to reactivate the adhesive and applying pressure to the grip tape to ensure a strong bond.
Remove from the pool, rinse with fresh water, pat dry, and store in a cool, dry place that is subject to less temperature changes. Lay the wedge on a flat surface to prevent warping.
No! To prolong the life of the wedge and grip tape, please store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
We recommend purchasing a silicone caulking adhesive intended for use on plastic from the local hardware store. Apply a bead of the caulking along the edges of the grip tape to prevent the adhesive from delaminating. Allow the caulking to dry completely before submerging the wedge into water.
If the grip tape is peeling beyond repair, please contact our Customer Service team for a replacement grip tape by submitting a support ticket here.
Start by removing the old grip tape and cleaning the surface with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the surface is clean and dry. We recommend using a heat gun or blow dryer to heat up the plastic surface and the adhesive on the grip tape to ensure a strong bond. Once heated up, apply the replacement grip tape and press down. Allow to cool before submerging in water.
Please reference the Backstroke Start Wedge manual instructions on how to properly set up the straps for the type of swim block you have. The Wedge straps (lower straps) come threaded through the wedge and have the Z hook connected at the end. The Block straps (upper straps with numbers) are used to wrap around the block posts or hand grips and attach to the wedge straps.
The Backstroke Start Wedge is FINA FR 2.10-compliant and can be used during training and competition as a way for swimmers to get an explosive start without slipping.
POOL MIRROR
We recommend removing the Pool Mirror from the pool every day. Do not leave it in the pool overnight. After each use, rinse the Pool Mirror with fresh water (non-chlorinated) then pat dry with a towel or soft cloth. Store the Pool Mirror on a flat surface, or in an upright secure location to retain its shape.
We suggest a minimum of three mirrors to view the entire stroke cycle.
SWIM TEACHING PLATFORM
The STP 1200mm is designed to withstand 600 pounds of weight and offers a solid base for 3-4 children per side. The STP 1800mm is designed to withstand 1200 pounds and recommended for 5 or 6 children per side.
Yes. The platform is designed so that it is easy-to-move and gentle on your pool bottom. Many swim schools have used these in vinyl-lined pools without any problems. Care should be used and the wheels should be engaged for moving the platform across the pool bottom.
TURNMASTER PRO
The Turnmaster Pro needs to be submerged in a minimum of 35″ of water to be off the pool bottom and floating.
At this time we do not offer custom sizes.
Freestyle Snorkel
The Freestyle Snorkel may be perfect for you! This snorkel is designed to reinforce head alignment. If your head is out of alignment, the extreme curve of the snorkel will dip below the water level to provide you with immediate feedback.
The Freestyle Snorkel is not compatible with the Dry Top.
GLIDE SNORKEL
The Glide snorkel has the same curved tube as the Swimmer’s Snorkel but the mouthpiece does not have a purge valve. The Glide has a shorter tube than the Swimmer’s Snorkel, making it an ideal introductory tool for fitness and team training.
ORIGINAL SWIMMER’S SNORKEL
The Swimmer’s Snorkel is our original center-mount snorkel designed to allow swimmers to focus on stroke technique without the interruption of turning the head to breathe. The Swimmer’s Snorkel has a one-way purge valve, which helps swimmers get comfortable with a snorkel. The purge valve allows water to flow out of the tube without entering the mouthpiece. The Freestyle Snorkel features a curved shape specially designed for freestyle. It is more of a technique-driven snorkel that reinforces proper head alignment and will dip below the water level if you are out of alignment. With reinforced stability, the Freestyle Snorkel allows for full range of motion at all speeds, including flip turns.
There are a few different ways you can maintain and clean your snorkel. First, it is important to rinse your snorkel with clean, fresh water after each swim. About once a month, (depending on usage) you can also submerge your snorkel in hot soapy water with a few drops of bleach and rinse with fresh water. It is also safe to run the snorkel, without the head bracket, through a wash in the top rack of the dishwasher.
We offer two sizes in the Swimmer’s Snorkel. Junior size is suitable for younger swimmers or petite women, especially those new to swimming with a snorkel. The adult Swimmer’s Snorkel is suitable for older teens and men and women.
HEAD BRACKET SNORKEL ACCESSORY
Please contact us at info@finisinc.com for a replacement clip.
PURGE VALVE
The purge valve allows water to flow out of the bottom of the tube without entering the mouthpiece.
You may not. The purge valve is very simple to remove and clean. Squeeze the mouthpiece while slipping the lip of the seal away from the purge valve. Once removed, clean the purge valve with soapy water and rinse with fresh water. If leaking persists, contact us at info@finisinc.com.
SKIN SOCKS
The Skin Socks are made of nylon and spandex. They are thin to help reduce irritation from friction caused by slightly loose fitting fins.
Skin Socks are thin lycra socks used to prevent chaffing. Foot Booties are thin neoprene booties that cover your toes up to the arch of your foot and help fins and monofins that are too loose fit better.
FOOTBOOTIES
The Footbooties are thin neoprene booties that slide over your toes. They are used if you are between fin sizes to make the fins fit better and more comfortably.
POSITIVE DRIVE FINS
The Positive Drive Fin is molded as a single fin. Both fins in the box are identical, so while technically there is no right or left fin, there is a correct way to wear the fins. The fins should be oriented with the wider portion of the blade on the outer portion of your foot. On your right foot you will see the FINIS logo, on the left you will see the fin size imprinted on the blade of the fin.
We do offer replacement straps for the Positive Drive Fin (PDF) and they are available in the Accessories tab on FINISinc.com
