It's definitely an improvement from the original Luna, its made out of rubber, giving it a tougher and stiffer blades while keeping the aesthetic of the previous Luna monofin.. Great for pool practice, looks good in fabric tail and its super comfy... Gold starfish recommended!

Purchased the new improved monofin! I have been swimming in it about 3times a week for 2 months and it is still in perfect condition so, it has out lasted the silicon Luna which I loved for comfort and flow. I swam in it many times with no blisters or neoprene socks, however when I put on swim legs I designed to test out and a tail I did get 2 blisters on my second toes so pending on fit and use you may want to consider trying neoprene socks with it just to be safe. Loved my monofin so much I’m purchasing a set for the kiddos to see if they stay on better then the more ridged brands. Can’t wait for my order to arrive.

We used the "Old" Luna's (Silicone) as a base case. Because they are "floppy" & "foldable" they aid the swimmer in performing tricks, such as the front or back flip. The New Luna Eclipse (Natural rubber) is an improvement in many ways, in particular: durability and "speed" of the fin as the "blade" is slightly more firm/rigid.

This is my regularly used monofin and I swim in it weekly, if not more at times, and it is my ride or die of my mermaiding gear. I absolutely love the balance of good propulsion and a bit of flexibility for a more natural flow. I would recommend (and I do as a whole for all monofins) that if you don't want blisters/wear and tear to your feet, wear some diving socks underneath. The pricing is fantastic, the monofin is an absolute dream. 10/10 from you fresh coast fish friend, way to go FINIS!
