Seeing the real time data as you swim is like having a coach yelling splits to you from the side of a track. Very useful if you aren’t good at pacing or feeling the water.

These goggles have transformed the way I approach swimming. Having the lap count, lap split and duration of the rest interval an eye turn away has enabled me to execute workouts with greater precision and train more deliberately. It's much easier to get in the flow when wearing these. Plus they make workouts more enjoyable!

As a long distance marathon swimmer I find the Finis Smart Goggle to be an excellent training tool. The fit can be adjusted quickly with snap in nose pieces. The cups provide a water tight seal. The micro computer operates easily with one button push on and off. The lap and time auto start and finish are accurate and convenient. No button pushing except to start and finish the workout. The lap count and elapsed time displayed on the screen help make keeping track of laps and time during a long set a breeze. Helps me know when to push or back off depending on the objective of the workout. After a swim the workout data transfers seamlessly to the app on my phone. The most useful features of these goggles for me are no button pushing during the workout and instant feedback during swim sets. These goggles well engineered and Finis quality!

Awesome product! Probably the best smart device for swimming ever made. 1 touch start- and you never have to touch it again during a workout. Comfortable and sleek design. Awesome to have the display "out of the line of sight" but still easy to look at!

Overall, I think this is a terrific platform, and is a huge step in the right direction for electronic training aids for the sport. The fit and function, as well as the lower profile design, make this a huge improvement over the Form goggles that were released in the year prior. One of the largest advantages is the clearer optics and visibility down the pool lane, without sacrificing peripheral vision as was the case with the form goggles, whose blocker shape, and heavier weight, and unfortunate lens shape, made for fit issues, and poor sight in many situations. Another big win for the Finis goggles, is the ability to remove the electronic elements, and replace them into another goggle without having to reinvest in the entire package. Overall, a terrific platform that really impresses, and shows what good research and development can do, achieving both fit AND function! A double win for the best swim focused company in the world! My partner and I are a huge fan of this product. Being able to see the real time data without having to keep track of it has allowed for reducing the stress of our swimming sessions. We look forward to just having to put the goggles on and getting out for a swim!

I love these Finis Smart Goggles because they give real-time feedback while I swim. Since being able to view my splits after each 25-yd lap, I have swam my personal best in all my swim distances. I was also able to exceed my goal in the USMS 1-hour postal swim. Using the Smart Goggles has given me a greater awareness of my swim patterns & what/where I need to improve. The goggles have been a great motivator and companion to my Masters-coached workouts as well. When a coach tweaks my stroke, head position, or kick, I can immediately see the benefits in my time drops! The Smart Goggles are also perfect for morning practices as my brain can continue to sleep while my body works! I don’t have to keep track of laps/yards anymore because the goggles do the counting! Unlike my iWatch, the Smart Goggles are great at detecting all four strokes as well as kick and scull sets. An advantage over their competitor is that the Ciye-powered computer module is removable. So if the goggles eventually wear out, you simply remove the module & insert it into a new pair of goggles (cost comparable to regular goggles) rather than having to replace the entire Smart Goggle.

The Finis Smart Goggles are awesome - the real time data has been invaluable to my swimming. I've set a few PRs in the first week of use, times I always knew I could do but just couldn't seem to get there. I know the use of the Smart Goggles will take my swimming to the next level.

Excellent Smart Goggles. I've tried other smart goggles on the market and I'm impressed that Finis was able to design a pair of goggles that fits more like a normal competitive swim goggle with out major leak issues. Seeing your pace while swimming is a game changer for athletes doing longer distance swims.
The device isn't perfect but we all know that if a goggle doesn't fit well than we're not going to use it and these are the best fitting smart goggles on the market right now.

I was absolutely floored by how smart this device is. Took a while for me to set up (user error - had too many registered bluetooth devices) & I accidently broke the strap. Finis was super helpful in troubleshooting & they also sent me a replacement goggle right away! Overall, I recommend using the googles for the first time during a lighter/recovery practice to get used to them. While swimming, it kept track of current pace time, split time & lap count. At rest, it will rotate between: rest time, real world clock time, overall active swim time & current lap count. I did confuse the device a bit during my kick set. I think staring at a kickboard instead of watching the bottom of the pool/ceiling moving confused the motion sensor? Completely went back to normal once I switched to kicking on my back. After swimming, it synced in about a minute and only used 3% battery for an hour swim. Got detailed breakdowns on each set. Will definitely continue to use for every practice from now on!

These goggles are amazing! I have trouble seeing my smartwatch while swimming sets and these goggles solve that by giving me a clear, unobstructed field of view of my swimming and a clear view up my performance, splits, laps, and clock time. You simply push one button and start swimming. Others in the pool have no idea you've got a mini computer inside your goggles giving you instant feedback. I absolutely love these! Bravo FINIS!

These are great goggles and functions accurately as FINIS marketed it to be. As FINIS works on future firmware updates, I put best hope in that they are able to put a live lap counter while we are in the middle of a long distance set since long distance swims per 50m pools or 200+ SCY swims can be lost while maintaining strong mentality. As a passionate competitive swim follower and swimmer, these goggles are great in observing improvement and how fast one is going per lap to the tenth of a second.

Maybe the best invention in swim equipment ever! There are so many directions this form of coaching/communication can go. I'm excited to see the evolution of this product!

Finis, for me, has always been an excellent fit. This goggle is likewise.

Not only is the smart goggle a great keep-the-water-out goggle, but also one I rely on every time I swim. I do a lot of 100 IMs and 25-50 yard sprints and the heads up display keeps me motivated to maintain my set times or better them. It also records the times and total distance swam, so I plan on a decent yardage goal every workout. If one wants to stay motivated and not dog your workout, the Smart Goggle is the answer.

I have been swimming with the Finis Smart Goggle for a few weeks. First of all, it is a nice fitting goggle. The splits for my laps are what I get the most out of, I don’t like the fact that I have confirmation that I am much slower than I like, but it gives me the motivation to push a little harder through my sets. With the split information, I keep up the pace longer than before. Overall, It ‘s a great innovation and I can see swimmers of every type using them to help them stay on pace for workouts.

Tired of counting laps? You don't have to anymore! Enjoy your music and check your laps and time as they are tracked by your smart goggles! My workout has changed, it's more relaxed now that I can let my mind wander. And the info captured on the app is perfect, from lap times to rest times. Goggles are very comfortable...I usually have trouble with fit but these were good out of the box with a change of one of the many easily replaceable nose pieces. I did have a bit of foggiest but it was a small thing....totally recommend these. Game changer for me!

The product is nice and a good tool but downloading is not convenient unless you use strava

After first use, I managed to increase my split times for HIIT workout in pool. Excellent real-time feedback once adjusted view in goggle. CIYE must get metric measurement options for the rest of the world who scrapped imperial decades ago!

Excellent and indispensable addition for anyone wanting to take their swim workout to the next level, to incorporate accurate, timely feedback during and immediately after the workout.

The saying is 'you don't know what you don't know' and until I got my smart goggles I didn't know when I was swimming fastest - now I know when I feel slow and steady, I'm actually doing my fastest splits

Having live data during a swim is highly motivating and builds consistency. I look forward to my next swim.

This is great. Instead of checking my watch, or craning to see the pace clock, these put the numbers right in front of you in real time. And they remember everything so you can bluff yourself. I find them easy to use, the app works seamlessly and the goggles fit great, very comfortable. I look forward to even more data as the firmware gets developed (just as they added stroke rate recently). My only knocks are: charging cable is EXTREMELY sensitive and can be tricky to connect correctly and God help you if you lose it as it is completely unique to the device. And the turn/stop sensitivity could be better--anything with <5 seconds rest it will register a continuous swim (don't coast into the wall!). I would like flexibility on what split to get (i.e. every 50 vs every 25) but this is minor. Really great for training on your own. I only wish I could wear while racing so I wouldn't always be panicked about finding a lap counter for my mile!

The text gets blurry(at the edges) when you select the most text-filled profile,
it is also not possible to customize what you see when swimming and resting, you can only select pre-fixed programs.

other than that they are probably the best option for smart googles.

I'm blown away by the support from Finis, and now will always but Finis if ever on the fence between similar products by different companies. TLDR, I had an issue and got a replacement sent out same day I raised the issue.

The goggles themselves are awesome and I've been swimming with them just under a year. It's amazing how you can swim normally and not even notice the display, then with a quick glance get your split/lap/stroke rate/etc. I've also had great accuracy for all swimming, kicking (vert K does throw it off a bit), and drills.

I'm sticking with 5 stars, with two minor points
1) the module is in the corner of the left eye, which does make you blind to the lane line when swimming backstroke, but I've gotten used to it pretty quick.
2) the laps are not sync'ed to swim.com/strava. This would be a Cyie drawback, though, so I'm not counting this against Finis. They are in the Cyie app, though

I’ve owned dozens of goggles. First time I’ve ever had a strap break when pulling these to fit out of the box. I haven’t even tried them on yet.

Have only used for a week so far, but I'm super impressed. So much more accuracy than my Fitbit Versa 4, and had eliminated the need to buy a new smartwatch just for swimming.

First off, I have to say these are fantastic — when they work.... Too often they freeze up right as I’m starting a swim, and that particular session ends up lost to the Smart Coach. After a reboot at home they usually work fine again the next time, but it’s very frustrating that Ciye isn’t fully consistent.
That said, once they’re running, the lap splits, lap counter, and data downloads are absolutely magnificent. The app on my iPhone works well too. If they can iron out them bugs, this would be flawless. Have it connected to swim.com and that in turn updates my Apple Health. Fun stats to have.
Despite the hiccups, I stil want to give five stars because they’re a lot of fun to use … when they’re working properly. So because of the above with the reboot business I give them a 3 unfortunately

These are great goggles. They can even accommodate people with small heads and faces. It is fun to see your stats as you swim. I got extra pairs for friends
